> The Blackfriar's Theatre
Formerly used the mud pit for Theatre in the Ground (up until 2003) and known as The Jury Rig Stage, The Blackfriar's Theatre had a complete overhaul prior to the 2008 season. A wonderful stage, you can sit at The Dragon Inn, sample a libation and enjoy shows performed by nationally-recognized talent from the renaissance faire circuit.
The bench seats are on a steep incline, making for easy viewing of the stage and allowing for great acoustics, with sound bouncing off the thick woods and hills behind the seating area.
