The Black Fox's Twenty Questions 1. How Long Have You Been in Revel Grove? Since 1993. 2. What's Your Favorite MDRF Show? Fight School and Hack and Slash. 3. What's Your Favorite Foodstuff & Drynk? Scotch egg w/mustard, pot roast over hunk of bread, yakatori kabob, cinnamon almonds, and I stick to water, soda, or tea 4. What's Your Favorite PubSing song? I've never made a pub sing! I usually leave around 6:00 depending on how late in the season it is so I can get home before dark. 5. What's Your Favorite MDRF Memory? Every visit is unique and special, but I guess my very first time will always stand out. It sounds silly, but I remember it was an unusually cold day and a street vendor was selling "pickle sickles". That always makes me chuckle. I could go on and on about my first visit, but suffice to say that it had a "profound effect" on me! The first time I brought my younger daughter Rebecca(aka-Morning Glory) was also very special. 6. What's Your Favorite Game at MDRF? Don't play the games unless you count the time we were playing "grape catapult" with a street performer. 7. Who performs your favorite MDRF Music? Don't really have a favorite group that I sit down and watch. I enjoy listening to any number of performers as I wander about.During 2005 season I did stop once and watch Wolgemut perform and really enjoyed them. 8. What's your assessment of security at MDRF? For such a large venue and volume of people I've never witnessed anything really out of the ordinary, so I guess they do a pretty good job. 9. What's the longest time you've ever spent in the parking lot in gridlock after the day's show was over? about 20-30 minutes. 10. Have you ever been Wenched, Rogued, or Kilt-checked? Nope, I'd probably be waaayy too modest! 11. How Long Is Your Faire Day? 7:00 a.m. to about 8:30 p.m. 12. Ever been completey trashed at MDRF? No. 13. Why Do You Like MDRF over Other Faires? I've never been to any other faire, but I like our wooded setting and natural surroundings. I can't imagine not having shade! The woods make it seem more authentic. 14. What Do You Like at other Faires that MDRF doesn't have? Never been to any other. 15. How important is being historically accurate at MDRF? It isn't really important to me at all. Faire is my special escape where I can let my immagination out to play without having to take myself too seriously. Being worried about having accurate garb is too much work. 16. What Vendor is missing at MDRF? None come to mind. 17. Who's Your Favorite Vendor at MDRF? Dragon Wings, Moresca, Potomac Leather, the herb shop, and The Bee Folks 18. What annoys you most about MDRF? Those large boulders, err, umm, I mean, chunks of gravel. Those things are NOT wheelchair/stroller friendly! The asthma inducing dust, and the large crowds. 19. What's The One Thing You'd Change About MDRF? Two words: Real bathrooms 20. Who's Your Favorite MDRF Cast Character? The Pyrate Queen, or any character portrayed by Mary Ann Jung. |
