The Black Fox's Twenty Questions 1. How Long Have You Been in Revel Grove? This will be my fifth season in Revel Grove. 2. What's Your Favorite MDRF Show? Shakespeare's Skum, hands down my favorite show. 3. What's Your Favorite Foodstuff & Drynk? Steak on a Stake is my favorite MDRF food, rare with black pepper. My favorite drynk depends on the weather. Wild Goose Nut Brown Ale for the warmer early season days; Wild Goose Porter for the cooler late season days. 4. What's Your Favorite PubSing song? I am sad to say I have never attended the Pub Sing. 5. What's Your Favorite MDRF Memory? Hmmmmmm. Last season my wife and I stumbled upon Steve and Lady Cynthia's engagement. I didn't know who they were at the time, but I thought how cool it was that the guy (Steve) had gone through all the trouble of getting cast members (King Henry) and a big group of friends (I had found the A.F.R. invasion not even knowing what one was.) together to surprise his lady. 6. What's Your Favorite Game at MDRF? Archery. Well... I suppose it's not actually a game since there are no prizes awarded, but I enjoy it anyway. 7. Who performs your favorite MDRF Music? The Rogues is my favorite music at MDRF. 8. What's your assessment of security at MDRF? I actually have never really noticed the security or any problems requiring it, so I would say security is perfect. Effective and unobtrusive. That is one of the things I love most about the faire. The peaceful, serene, and free atmosphere. 9. What's the longest time you've ever spent in the parking lot in gridlock after the day's show was over? Probably about an hour. 10. Have you ever been Wenched, Rogued, or Kilt-checked? Nope... never wenched and never kilt checked. 11. How Long Is Your Faire Day? Last season we rarely got there in time for the opening but typically stayed until the end. 12. Ever been completey trashed at MDRF? Trashed at MDRF... Well never trashed, I generally leave pretty darn happy yet still upright. :) I must admit though that the barkeep Tracy at the Dragon knows to reach for Nut Brown Ale when he sees me, and knows to grab two of them. HEY, I have a big mug it would be a shame to under utilize the space. 13. Why Do You Like MDRF over Other Faires? As far as #13 and #14 go I have only been to MDRF. I really need to get out more often. 14. What Do You Like at other Faires that MDRF doesn't have? As far as #13 and #14 go I have only been to MDRF. I really need to get out more often. 15. How important is being historically accurate at MDRF? For the cast, crew, and other official MDRF people I think it's very important. For us playtrons I think its only a guideline. Having fun is more important for us :) 16. What Vendor is missing at MDRF? Well it's not exactly a vendor but I would like to see something relating to brewing and wine/mead making. Demonstrations, Q&A sessions, supplies and drinks for sale. Similar to the glassblower; I suppose that does count as a vendor doesn't it. 17. Who's Your Favorite Vendor at MDRF? Wolfstone Kilt Co. is my favorite vendor. But Tracy at the Dragon sure gets a very honorable mention. 18. What annoys you most about MDRF? The large crowds the last few weekends bug me. Who are all these people at our Faire anyway??? 19. What's The One Thing You'd Change About MDRF? I'd make the restroom facilities better. I don't need anything fancy; I'd be happy to just have the guys only trough style urinals back and garden hose to wash my hands. I would REALLY love some actual running water to wash my hands. 20. Who's Your Favorite MDRF Cast Character? I suppose I would have to take my hat off to the King. He became the new King so gracefully he made it look easy, which I am certain it was not. |
