The Black Fox's Twenty Questions 1. How Long Have You Been in Revel Grove? Since the 1996 season. 2. What's Your Favorite MDRF Show? Its a toss-up between The Squire of the Wire and Puke-n-Snot. 3. What's Your Favorite Foodstuff & Drynk? Aaah, anything on a stick (except for macaroni and cheese. What was MDRF thinking when they came up with that?), scotch eggs and hard cider. 4. What's Your Favorite PubSing song? Old Dun Cow, Spanish Ladies. 5. What's Your Favorite MDRF Memory? Being there with my wife when she bought her first bodice, and seeing her in it for the first time. 6. What's Your Favorite Game at MDRF? Thats easy, the one where the wench is standing behind the long, narrow game board, and you pays her your money, and she gives you ale or cider. I win every time! 7. Who performs your favorite MDRF Music? Pyrates Royale, The Rogues, The Bayfield Brass. 8. What's your assessment of security at MDRF? What's your assessment of security at MDRF? I feel very secure there, both in Revel Grove and in the parking lot. T'would be nice to be able to carry a sword, though. 9. What's the longest time you've ever spent in the parking lot in gridlock after the day's show was over? 2 hours. 10. Have you ever been Wenched, Rogued, or Kilt-checked? Wenched - Yes, Rogued - No, Kilt-Checked - Yes. 2 out of three is perfect for me. 11. How Long Is Your Faire Day? Before opening to after closing. 12. Ever been completey trashed at MDRF? Yes. 13. Why Do You Like MDRF over Other Faires? The forested fest site is the best, the prices are low compared to other fests, and its only 20 minutes from my house. MDRF has spoiled me. 14. What Do You Like at other Faires that MDRF doesn't have? The only thing that comes to mind is the settings of the ren fests I've been to in Germany, which are held on the grounds of actual 500-year-old castles. 15. How important is being historically accurate at MDRF? Thats up to an individual's taste, and what he or she expects to get out of going to faire. I go for the fun, so accuracy is not a priority for me. 16. What Vendor is missing at MDRF? Woodchuck Cider. 17. Who's Your Favorite Vendor at MDRF? The House of Musial Traditions, The Brass Dragon. 18. What annoys you most about MDRF? The crowds getting heavier as the season progresses. 19. What's The One Thing You'd Change About MDRF? I'd add plenty more tables and benches under more cover. 20. Who's Your Favorite MDRF Cast Character? Randy Wothke of The Rogues and St. Peg of the White Hart of the Pyrates Royale, because good Bodhranai' are a blessing! |
