1970s: The Maryland Renaissance Festival 1977 - Reigning Monarch: Elizabeth I Storyline: TO COME • The Maryland Renaissance Festival is held in the fall at Symphony Woods, Columbia, Maryland. No permanent structures could be erected. . . there were a lot of tents! • Annapolis.com refers to this year being the start of the Maryland Renaissance Festival. (The official MRF site also declares it so). They refer to it as a ramshackle village. • A band called "Clam Chowder" was formed at the Festival: Clam Chowder has been around, in its various incarnations, since 1977. It first performed at the Maryland Renaissance Festival that year. 1978 - Reigning Monarch: Elizabeth I Storyline: TO COME • Puke & Snot perform for the first time according to their history. 1979 - Reigning Monarch: Elizabeth I Storyline: TO COME • According to Dagohir history, they were performing staged fights at MRF. 1970s   •   1980s   •   1990s   •  2000s
